“Temporary Stability” 2012

Porcelain, Linen Thread, Masking Tape

The idea behind this piece is how the feeling of being grounded and stable is temporary and a feeling I get only glimpses of. After about a week and a half the tape started to give and lift off the pedestal surface and the panel was leaning and no longer secure.

Of the work I’ve been doing. I am the most proud of this piece. If I could show one thing for my Senior Thesis show, it would be this one. The video quality isn’t great but I need to start somewhere. It’s a little long skip to the end and see the finished piece.

Becoming my favorite cup for coffee.
